Set the foundation for healthy eating from the very beginning

Hi, I'm Madison Holden, RN, MSN, Certified Baby Nutrition Consultant and Certified Postpartum Nutrition Consultant.

It's amazing to me that new parents are still receiving outdated information when it comes to nutrition and starting their babies on solids. Parents are still being told by doctors to feed their babies traditional food starters like processed rice cereals or not to eat vegetables right after birth to prevent colic!

I can't think of anything better than  helping new moms feel confident in their own postpartum wellness and starting their babies on solids. There are options out there that will make sense for your unique needs. I am here to help you discover food starters  that are actually nutritious. Feeding your baby nutritious foods right when they start solids sets a strong foundation for loving and eating healthy foods as they get older.

Certified Oh Baby Nutrition Consultant

What does being certified from Oh Baby Academy mean? This 10.5 month program taught me about real foods and their roots in both modern research and traditional wisdom. Oh Baby Academy is the only educational nutrition institute in North America that currently specializes solely in the certification of holistic nutrition for pregnancy, postpartum, and babies. "Oh Baby Academy's nutrition philosophy is rooted in traditional wisdom that is supported by modern research. We strongly believe in holistic nutrition that prioritizes nutrient-dense, whole foods. We promote balance, which includes a combination of: fruits and vegetables, complex carbohydrates (e.g., squash and root vegetables), healthy fats (e.g., grass-fed butter and coconut oil), high-quality proteins, and traditionally fermented foods." -Oh Baby Academy

About Me

I have been married to my husband almost 4 years and we have a little girl who was born July 2019. Harper is the center of our world!  As a family, we love to spend time playing outside, traveling; and of course, eating yummy and nutritious foods. Personally, I love to read, bake, and try new recipes. I love to stay active and most days you can find me on the Peloton! I am very passionate about helping others, especially when it comes to postpartum nutrition and baby nutrition.

About

About Cont.

While in nursing school, I knew that I wanted to become a pediatric nurse. There is something so magical when talking to and caring for a child. I started my career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where I saw the incredible bond between a mother and child.

It wasn't until I was a mother of my own that I understood that bond. It was because of Harper that my love for nutrition, both postpartum and baby, ignited. I didn't know how to nutritionally nourish and replenish myself, especially as a breastfeeding mother. When Harper started solids, I was overwhelmed with questions of knowing what to feed her, when to start her on solids, and how to make sure that her small diet was full of the important nutrients that she needed.

This is when I found Oh Baby Academy and decided to enroll in the 10.5 month program so that I can help other mothers who have these same questions and concerns. I want to empower and support new mothers and parents.
